Amritarishta is also known as Amrutarishta, Amritarishtam etc.
Amritarishta an type of Arishta from Ayurveda which is used for treatment of Chronic fever, Typhoid Fever, Malaria, indigestion and other infectious disease.
It is the Arishta prepared from 'Amruta' that is Guduchi which is Jwaraghna and Aampachak
This Arishta is beneficial in various types of Jwara especially in the stage of Dhatugata Jwara. In Vishamjwar, Amrutarishta helps in improvement of Liver and Spleen function
All Arishta contain denatured alcohol which helps improve digestion which means better digestion and assimilation of nutrients in the food. It reduces body pain after chronic illness, chronic fever, typhoid.

Dose
2-4 spoons (10 to 20ml), 2-3 times a day, after meal with equal amount of lukewarm water
Side Effects
Don't exceed the dose as advised by your physician. Accidental over-dosage should be strictly avoided
Safe in lower doses for kids above 3 years of age. Pregnancy and lactation Best to avoid during pregnancy, however can be taken after consulting doctor.
Can be taken during lactation period, after consulting doctor.
A very high dose of 50 ml or more may cause stomach irritation. Contra-indications It is not recommended in person with following problems-
- Diabetes- As jaggery is one of the ingredients, it should be not be used for diabetes patients.
- Hyperacidity- Due to its sour taste, it should be avoided in hyper-acidity and ulcers. It should taken with proper additional medicines for acidity if someone is having acidity.
- Ulcers- Amritarishta may worsen the conditions in the case of ulcers or Ulcerated Colon (ulcerative colitis) if any
